The core of the Skiers Trust's charitable work is through its Focused Funds. This enables the Trust to support young people in a clear and concise way to match the intentions of our donors.
Most of our grants throughout each year are delivered through these selective funds.
Focused Funds enable large donors to achieve their charitable giving through their selective interests. Donors wishing to use snowsports to provide a life changing experience for disadvantaged youngsters, can do so directly through the Trust’s Education Access Development Fund. Those focused on young people with special educational needs and disabilities can select our SEND Fund. Alternatively, donors wishing to support the future of competitive British snowsports can do so through our Snowsports Competitor Fund.
In common with almost all charities, the Trust receives smaller donations through a variety of fundraising activities, including our Friend scheme, into our general income fund allowing the Trust to decide the best use of donations across the full range of our charitable objectives. Periodically, the Trust redistributes general donation income in a balanced way across the Focused Funds supplementing the larger donations received directly into them.
Our Focused Funds enable donors to support their desired snowsports purpose.
If you wish to make a larger donation direct into one of our Focused Funds, or a specific donation not covered by any of them, we will be very pleased to discuss how this can be achieved with you.
