Rob is a member of GB Snowsports Alpine FIS Squad. He has received grant support through the Skiers Trust’s Craig MacFie Foundation Fund. He is a member of our Pool of Talent.

For the past three years Rob has raced slalom, GS and SuperG on the CIT and FIS circuits as part of the GB Snowsports FIS Squad representing GB. He has been focusing on reducing his FIS points and steadily improving his ranking through developing his technique and building experience. His long-term aim is the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

Rob raced in the individual and team alpine disciplines at the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne where he achieved a top 20 GS placing. He has also become the youngest British male to take part in a Europa Cup race. He won the National Junior Championship and FIS slalom races in Tiffindell, South Africa together with a podium place in the CIT Arnold Lunn World Cup slalom.

He has been British and English Dry Slope Champion, British Indoor Champion and English u18 GS Champion. He was selected for the British Children’s Team competing in the Czech Republic and the ESSKIA ISF Team at L’Aquila, Italy and Chamrousse, France.

From a child, he developed his skiing through lessons and race training at his local dry ski slope with Pendle Ski Club in Lancashire. Rob now coaches younger skiers at the Ski Club having completed his Snowsport England Instructor and Coaching Licences.

For the past five years he has trained full time with Team Evolution in Austria.

The Skiers Trust believes Rob is an example of the young people with snowsports potential who the Trust attempts to identify and provide much needed financial help in order for them to develop their talent.
